Makuta in their Downtime 4 Part 2


After awhile Achen asked Ruunaja,"Do you still need to find a way to apologize to Reefa?"

"Don't rush me!" He snapped back still nervous.

"Why not write her something?" Xaro suggested letting his wings relax a bit.

Achen shrugged."That might work..."

"Like a poem?" Ruunaja asked a little puzzled.

"That or a letter of apology?" The black/red/silver bat-like Makuta muttered with a shrug.

Then Achen suggested,"Why not just talk to her?"

Ruunaja gulped already picturing Reefa chasing him with the chainsaw.

"Fear that Reefa would beat you to a pulp?" Achen then chuckled."Ruunaja I doubt she would do that."

"Maybe we can get of any and all chainsaws here on Destral?" Xaro spoke up no doubt reading Ruunaja's mind.

"I thought you destroyed her chainsaw?" Achen reminded.

"Yeah...." The bat-like muttered a little sheepish."But nobody gave Necro the memo about Reefa."

"He sent back a few spares from the human world." Ruunaja  said knowing that Necro often sent the Brotherhood gifts from the human world mostly Pepsi, Playboy magazines, odds and ends he then suggested." You think we've been able to reach him at all?"

Xaro looked a little embarrassed since no one has been able to contact Necro in the human world from Destral, he  confessed while scratching the side of his mask, "Well to be honest no....Although Chaos is still experimenting with that."

Ruunaja than sighed,"Exactly! What do I do?"

Xaro shrugged saying,"No idea but we can think of something..."

"True..."Achen added...

The three Makuta stood there in silence for about an hour, but really couldn't really think of anything.

"I'm still having a hard time thinking of anything! How about you Ruunaja?" Xaro said finally breaking the silence.

Ruunaja honestly couldn't think of anything either, he snapped."NOTHING! Too much has passed! If you jerks can't think of anything well, a suicide mission for me it it!!"

Achen than suggested."Maybe I can talk to her?"

"YES! Yes, females always listen to other females. It's foolproof!" He retorted with a smile.

While Achen walked down the corridor heading to the female side of the armory, Xaro watched her muttering under his breath."I hope it works..."


When female bat-like Makuta got to the female side of the armory, Reefa was there polishing her weapons.
"Reefa can we talk?" She asked.

Reefa looked at her, with a half-smile, saying."Yes, what is it?"

"Well I over heard Ruunaja and Xaro talking about you..."She began for a moment and paused.

"Oh?..."Reefa muttered raising an eyebrow wondering what those two were discussing.

"Turns out Ruunaja actually misses you, and Xaro does want to break up with you, but they are unwilling to act."

Hearing those words Reefa couldn't help but sigh in relief."Aw, finally! I was hoping to get that off my chest as well."

"You understand their nervousness right?" Achen asked.

"Know it? I practically feel it." Reefa answered.

"Are you still concern about going back to Ruunaja?" Achen asked trying to draw her out more.

"After I threatened him with the chainsaw.....Yes." Reefa answered letting her silver wings relax slightly.

"Where did you even get the chainsaw?" Achen asked out of curiosity raising an eyebrow.

"The armory."

"How did you find it there? I assumed it came from one of those crates?"

"Yes, it did."

"That makes sense."

"Are you mad at me?" Reefa asked with a frown.

Achen placed a  hand on her shoulder saying."No, you just need to control yourself better."

"But how though? It's so hard." Reefa stammered holding back a tear.

"Jezebel and I had learned to control our own emotions. You can learn that too." Achen replied handing her a small book called, 'How To Control Oneself'.

Reefa accepted the book, taking a deep breath and said one word. "...Ok..."

"So do you actually want to break up with Xaro?" She asked.

"Ugh! The man is such a bore! And he's certainly not as hunky as Ruunaja...." Reefa retorted honestly she was ok with that male bat-like Makuta.

"You know now that Xaro wants to break up with you but is unwilling to because that reaction with Ruunaja." Achen reminded.

"I know I know!" Reefa said back with sigh."Just let me get through this book, ok?"

Achen winked at her saying."Sure thing."

*Awhile later after Reefa finished reading the book. Achen met with her near the dorms.*

Achen couldn't help but speak up."Well hopefully this will work out."

Reefa took a deep breath in response still a little nervous about talking to Xaro."Ok, wish me luck..."

"Good luck Reefa.."

Sometime later Xaro got back to his dorm with a sigh, two medium sized wolf like Rahi, one was red and the other was green. They wagged their tails happy to see him.
"Well Nomi and Con,"Xaro began with a smile as he petted them."Hopefully Reefa and Ruunaja will get back together soon."

Both of canine like Rahi started barking and growling at the nearby closet, the red/black/silver bat-like Makuta wondered aloud."What now?"

Almost as if his question was being answered, the closet door opened coming out of there was Reefa saying."Relax! It is just me."

"Oh hey sorry if Nomi and Con caused you any trouble." He said a little surprised by the fact she was there.

"It's alright, all Makuta have that kind of approach." She said back with a half smile.

Xaro was quiet for a couple minutes before asking her."So what are you doing here exactly?"

"W-well um...."Reefa began to reply, but paused for a moment taking a deep breath she looked nervous as she finished."This isn't gonna be easy but......I wanna break up with you!"

"Same here Reefa," Xaro said back in an honest tone with a sigh of relief."Besides I think that you are an ok female. You're just not the one for me."

She looked relieved hearing those words,"Phew! I really feared that you were going to kill me."

"I was afraid that you would do the same to me Reefa."He retorted letting his wings flap gently in a non-existing breeze.

"Just be glad you didn't insult me..." She replied with a sigh.

He nod than explained the that he never insulted any females directly or even indirectly, because he was cautious about what he should say to them. That and Necro once told him,'Karzahni has no fury like a female's scorn.'

"I expect that you are going to meet with Ruunaja soon."Xaro ended with a nod.

"Yeah, but I should do the closet thing?" Reefa asked since she had taken on the form of a lovely human female, wore human lady undergarments (ie bra and panties), hid in Ruunaja's closet and surprised him when he got into his dorm.

"You should talk to him about that  yourself, Reefa."He replied with a shrug petting Nomi and Con both of them barked happily. "You might be able to work something out?"

"Ok then thanks Xaro." She said giving him a quick hug than left the dorm, blowing him a kiss on the way out.

The two canine Rahi barked in a tone and started to jump on him, licking his mask like big friendly dogs.

"That worked out better than I thought."Came a familiar voice from nearby.
Xaro already on the floor on his back because the canines knocked him over still licking his mask than stopped as he sat up. Standing there in the doorway was Achen the purple/blue armor bat-like female smiled abit seeing him.

"Oh hey Achen what are you doing here?" He asked getting back up on his feet.

"I just wanted to make sure that you broke up with her." She answered no doubt referring to Reefa. "And from what I can tell you did it gently."


*At another location on Destral, Ruunaja stood on one of the catwalks overlooking the courtyard.
The green eyed Makuta wondered about Reefa, did Achen succeed?
"Ruunaja are you around here?" Came a familiar female voice.

He turned and sure enough standing about a bio away from him was Reefa. She ran up to him and hug him tightly for a few moments.
"Um Reefa what are you doing here?"He asked as she let go.

"Well Xaro and I broke up, peacefully now we can get back together." She explained letting go of him, noticing the relief in his eyes hearing that statement.

"Well I'm sorry about everything."Ruunaja said with a half-smile.
"Does that mean you'll be hiding my closet, wearing those female human garments?" He then asked wondering if she would start doing that again.

Reefa blushed hearing his words before responding."Well can I do that every now and then like every other week? If you like...."

"Once every other week would be fine with me." He replied before placing a hand on her shoulder near one of her wings. "Just don't do it when I'm in a bad mood."

While the couple chatted, Xaro and Achen watched from afar feeling proud of themselves.
"Seems that everything worked out well for them." She muttered with a half-smile.
